The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to ensure children with behavioral health needs have access to effective services in the least restrictive environment. This full-time position, located in Augusta, requires regular travel throughout Somerset & Kennebec Counties and allows for partial telework with management approval. The role involves supporting parents, caregivers, and professional colleagues in navigating the child behavioral health system of care, collaborating with other state agencies (OADS, OBH, Child Welfare, Mainecare) to ensure youth obtain appropriate services, and participating in community-based collaborative meetings. The coordinator will also facilitate and attend meetings regarding complex youth needs in various settings and serve as part of a statewide team focused on promising and evidenced-based practice models, policy informing, and consistency across districts.
