About The Position

Armor Health is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Professional to join its team at Riverside Regional Jail in North Prince George, Virginia. The role provides behavioral health services to patients in a jail as part of an established multidisciplinary treatment team and behavioral health program. The position is performed under the supervision of a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional and requires some weekend coverage. Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
Current state Mental Health Registered Professional license, or currently pursuing a master's degree from an accredited university.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide psychosocial assessments and preliminary diagnostic impressions, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services to patients in a jail.
Collect supporting patient information through interviews, case histories, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques.
Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine an appropriate therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists.
Provide crisis management counseling and/or short-term therapy to patients as appropriate.
Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs.
Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions for each entity.
Consult with other behavioral health practitioners and related staff, as appropriate, in performing therapeutic and/or casework.
