About The Position

Armor Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Professional to provide behavioral health services to patients in a jail as part of an established multidisciplinary treatment team and behavioral health program. The role works under the supervision of a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional and may involve psychosocial assessments, preliminary diagnostic impressions, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals. Armor describes its work as partnering with correctional organizations to improve health care outcomes and providing support for patients in a safe environment.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, or participation in a master's-level internship program.
Current state Mental Health Registered Professional license, or currently pursuing a master's degree from an accredited university.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide psychosocial assessments and preliminary diagnostic impressions, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services to jail patients as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team and behavioral health program.
Collect supporting patient information through interviews, case histories, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques.
Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine an appropriate therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists.
Provide crisis management counseling and/or short-term therapy as appropriate.
Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs.
Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions.
Consult with other behavioral health practitioners and related staff in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework.
