About The Position
The Pharmacist manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems. The Pharmacist provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students; documents interventions and outcomes to support drug therapy quality improvement; evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness before order entry; and checks technicians’ filled orders for accuracy. The position is with Mesa Springs Innovations-Arlington, a behavioral health hospital serving the Fort Worth, Texas community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Pharmacy license in the state of Texas.
- CPR certification and de-escalation certification required, or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
