About The Position

The Patient Navigator (PN) is responsible for implementing day‑to‑day activities for signature programs (e.g., Depression Recovery Center, Women’s Behavioral Health, Suicide Prevention, Trauma Recovery) within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. The PN will work alongside an interdisciplinary team of psychotherapists, psychologists and psychiatrists focused on improving mental and behavioral health across the lifespan. The PN will assist with the recruitment and enrollment process for individual and group-based interventions by engaging with interested individuals, reviewing and triaging referrals within and outside of the medical center, providing detailed information about program content, costs, and scheduling. They will address program inquiries, follow up with additional questions, and assess program suitability for prospective participants. The PN will support all aspects of navigation through programs including enrollment and payment for upcoming programs. They will also assist with individual and group scheduling, helping participants access behavioral health resources, and providing ongoing support throughout the programs. In coordination with program team members across signature programs (e.g., Depression Recovery Center, Women’s Behavioral Health, Suicide Prevention, Trauma Recovery), the PN will manage the scheduling and posting of upcoming offerings. Additionally, they will be responsible for keeping websites up to date. The PN will play a key role in quality assurance and research projects, including supporting IRB processes and coordinating the collection of satisfaction and outcome data. For group offerings, the PN will maintain records of attendance and completion rates as well as schedule any follow-up visits with a program team member. Additionally, the PN will contribute to advertising and community outreach efforts aimed at supporting enrollment and reaching diverse populations. They will help maintain relationships with community partners and coordinate outreach events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, communications, public health or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience working with patients, public health services and/or community-based programming preferred.
