About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling. MO-SSM Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Intake Therapist to support patients during critical moments of care. In this night-shift role, you will complete behavioral health intake assessments and help connect patients to the appropriate level of care across multiple ministry locations. This position floats between four locations, providing variety and the opportunity to support both remote intake and emergency department settings.

Requirements

Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field
No experience required
Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records are required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration OR Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience is preferred.
Experience in school therapy, community-based therapy, counseling, addiction services, or other behavioral health settings will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments.
Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
Facilitates admission of in-patients and out-patients based on physician orders.
Coordinates transportation to another facility and/or referral to a lower level of care as indicated.
Documents calls and related admission information.
May staff crisis hotline as needed.
Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies.
Performs insurance verification and prior-authorization based on payor requirements.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
