About The Position

Provides behavioral health counseling services to students within a Student Assistance Program. This role focuses on substance use prevention and education, working collaboratively with students, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure comprehensive care throughout the treatment process.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of a bachelors degree in behavioral health or related field.
• No licensing required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
• Administers individual and group therapy.
• Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
• Provide behavioral health counseling and education for students centered around substance use prevention.
• Attend school related meetings as requested by the district.
