About The Position

BrightView is seeking a proactive, compassionate Counselor to support individuals in recovery and contribute to its treatment team. The role involves delivering quality care in a dynamic counseling environment, with an emphasis on addiction therapy and supporting patients’ progress toward wellness. The Counselor collaborates with an onsite multidisciplinary team, maintains complete and timely electronic health records, and follows applicable regulatory and company compliance requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Education consistent with state-level regulations and requirements.
• Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum (for example, CSAC-S).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion in supporting patients’ recovery.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
• Technological capability and comfort using multiple systems for communication and documentation.
• Integrity and adherence to BrightView’s compliance culture.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with MS Office software, such as Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• Prior experience with harm reduction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments according to clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward treatment plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required on-site staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document treatment data comprehensively and promptly in the electronic patient health record.
• Follow applicable regulatory and company compliance requirements.
