About The Position
The Behavioral Health CNA works on a 50-bed state-of-the-art Behavioral Health Hospital unit, located within a Behavioral Health/Acute Psych Unit at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, Connecticut. The CNA performs basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. The role follows each resident’s or patient’s treatment plan, designed to meet their age, needs, and abilities. The posting lists a 24-hour-per-week schedule with every-other-weekend work; it includes both “DAY SHIFT” and “Night Shift” references.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut certification as a nurse’s aide (C.N.A.).
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Follow treatment plans designed to meet each resident’s or patient’s age, needs, and abilities.
- Assist with meals and nourishments.
- Transfer residents or patients using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
- Assist with ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
