About The Position

Conducts behavioral health evaluations to determine the most appropriate treatment for adult patients starting at age 18 years, who have graduated high school and older. The role involves conducting initial biopsychosocial assessments, completing and analyzing evidenced-based screening tools, providing individual and group counseling, developing treatment plans, managing caseloads of moderate to high acuity patients, conducting psycho-educational, therapeutic, and skills groups, collaborating with other professionals, maintaining patient documentation, evaluating patient progress within a multidisciplinary team, and participating in ongoing professional development and mandatory training.

Requirements

  • Adult patients starting at age 18 years, who have graduated high school and older.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation records.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
  • Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking acute behavioral health services to determine need for treatment of behavioral issues.
  • Complete and analyze evidenced based screening tools and assessments.
  • Provides individual and group counseling for patients.
  • Develop treatment plans, including clear problem statement, treatment goal(s), with measurable, relevant objectives for a range of behavioral health concerns.
  • Manage caseloads comprised of moderate to high acuity patients.
  • Able to conduct multiple psycho-educational, therapeutic and skills groups and individual therapy services.
  • Collaborate with other mental health and educational professionals to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation records.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health.
  • Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned.
