About The Position

Greater Portland Health is seeking an enthusiastic behavioral health clinician to provide counseling to adolescents in our integrated School-Based Health Centers. This position may be year-round or follow the school calendar, depending on your preference. We value passion and team fit as much as experience and credentials.

Requirements

• Experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating young people’s mental health needs
• Experience with crisis intervention
• Interest in collaborating with medical providers, school staff, and families
• A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally humble care
• A proactive, relationship-focused approach to the work
• Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic school environment
• Full licensure is preferred; however, strong conditionally licensed candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to adolescents in integrated School-Based Health Centers.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat young people’s mental health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with medical providers, school staff, and families.
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally humble care.
• Utilize a proactive, relationship-focused approach to the work.
• Adapt to the dynamic school environment.
