About The Position

Greater Portland Health is seeking an independently licensed behavioral health clinician to join a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare team. The primary population served is individuals experiencing homelessness. The team operates as a mobile unit, primarily engaging with patients in the community via a mobile medical van, aiming to connect with patients in a low-barrier environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work.
  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Maine.
  • Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
  • Competence in emergency assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of various psychiatric/chemical dependencies.
  • Competency for adults, geriatrics, and disability-based for chemical dependency.

Nice To Haves

  • Full licensure (LCSW, LCPC) is preferred.
  • Strong conditionally licensed candidates (LMSW-cc, LCPC,cc) will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral health services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Engage patients in a low-barrier environment using a mobile medical van.
  • Conduct emergency assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation for psychiatric/chemical dependencies.
