About The Position

Greater Portland Health is seeking an independently licensed behavioral health clinician (LCSW, LCPC, LADC) to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. The role involves working with a mobile team, primarily connecting with patients in the community via a mobile medical van in a low-barrier environment. This is a part-time position with a schedule of Mondays 12-7pm, Wednesdays 8-4:30pm, and Thursdays 8-4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work.
  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Maine.
  • Independently licensed behavioral health clinician (LCSW, LCPC, LADC).
  • Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments.
  • Competence in emergency assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of various psychiatric/chemical dependencies.
  • Competency for adults, geriatrics, and disability-based for chemical dependency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral health services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Engage patients in a low-barrier environment using a mobile medical van.
  • Conduct emergency assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation for psychiatric and chemical dependency issues.
  • Provide evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
