About The Position

Greater Portland Health is seeking an independently licensed behavioral health clinician (LCSW, LCPC, LADC required) to serve a population primarily experiencing homelessness. The role involves working with a mobile team, connecting with patients in the community via a mobile medical van, aiming to engage individuals in a low-barrier environment. This is a part-time position with a schedule including Mondays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Maine.
• Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments.
• Competence in emergency assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of psychiatric/chemical dependencies.
• Competency for adults, geriatrics, and disability-based for chemical dependency.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Engage patients in a low-barrier environment using a mobile medical van.
• Conduct emergency assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation for psychiatric and chemical dependency needs.
• Apply evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
