About The Position

Greater Portland Health is seeking an independently licensed behavioral health clinician (LCSW, LCPC) to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. The role involves working with a mobile team, primarily connecting with patients in the community via a mobile medical van in a low-barrier environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Maine.
• Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
• Competence in emergency assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of various psychiatric/chemical dependencies.
• Competency for adults, geriatrics, and disability-based for chemical dependency.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients in a low barrier environment.
• Connect with patients in the community via a mobile medical van.
• Provide behavioral health services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Perform emergency assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation for psychiatric/chemical dependencies.
• Provide treatment for adults, geriatrics, and disability-based chemical dependency.
