Pay Information: Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. External Hires: This position starts at $39.86 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience. Job Summary: Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist 2: Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist 2 provides rapid, community-based mental health crisis interventions for individuals experiencing acute behavioral, emotional, or substance use crises. This role frequently dispatches with EMS/911 and delivers psychiatric emergency services across the Emergency Department and community. The position requires advanced assessment, de-escalation, and clinical decision-making skills to ensure immediate stabilization and safety.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in social work or behavioral sciences in a licensable discipline by the Alaska Behavioral Regulatory Board.
  • One (1) year of experience as a behavioral health counselor.
  • Active State of Alaska LCSW license.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substance in the state of Alaska prior to start of employment.
