Behavioral Health Case Manager II - Inpatient
About The Position
Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center (JTCMHC) is currently recruiting for a Behavioral Health Case Manager to join our Inpatient Department team. This position will be instrumental in assisting individuals who are experiencing a crisis and in need of support as they regain control of their lives and recovery processes. The Behavioral Health Case Manager will work closely with consumers and the multidisciplinary team to provide essential case management services, ensuring individuals receive the necessary support during their crisis and recovery journey. The ideal candidate must possess a strong commitment to professionalism, ethics, and effective communication while interacting with ODMHSAS staff and consumers.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals in crisis.
- Experience in behavioral health or a related field, with knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- A strong commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining ethical standards in a professional environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A high school degree or equivalent, from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education, and a total of 6 months of direct, documented experience working with persons who live with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues.

- Case management experience is preferred but not required.

- Case Management: Perform a wide range of tasks related to case management, including assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up support.
