About The Position

The Behavioral Health Assistant will manage the office schedule, set up and lead monthly office meetings, and schedule behavioral health patient appointments. This role involves handling prior authorizations and working with insurance companies, acting as a liaison between the Business Office, Administration, and Clinical Services. The assistant will also complete FMLA and disability paperwork, coordinate policy reviews and implementation, address patient concerns, and manage the departmental email. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage, control, and direct multiple tasks at the same time; detail-oriented, organized
  • Optimistic and energetic with highly refined interpersonal and communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit compassion, courtesy, and respect for employees and patients

Nice To Haves

  • College-level coursework preferred
  • Three to five years previous healthcare related experience preferred
