About The Position
This role is for a Behavioral Health Assistant, PRN, serving multiple locations. The position involves providing support within a behavioral health setting, requiring empathy, strong communication, and customer service skills. The role is based at Texas Health Plano, a Magnet-designated hospital known for its advanced care and comprehensive services, including adult and adolescent behavioral health units.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year office experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Usage of basic office equipment (e.g. fax machines, copy machines, phones).
- Knowledge and understanding of various business applications software (e.g. Microsoft Word/Excel/SharePoint)
- Good verbal and written communication skills to include telephone skills
- Exhibits a pleasant, professional, polished presence exhibiting the ability to troubleshoot utilizing critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, to include behavioral health patients
- Must be able to exhibit a high level of empathy with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and support people during life-changing events, while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills
