About The Position

North Shore Medical Center is seeking a full-time Behavioral Charge RN for night shifts (7p-7a). Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician-directed care and RN supervision. We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities. Hourly pay is negotiable based on experience.

Requirements

Current Florida RN License
Ability to Communicate in English
BLS required
Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.

Nice To Haves

1 year of Behavioral Health RN experience
1 year of Supervisory RN responsibilities

Responsibilities

Collects data and collaborates with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises.
Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated.
Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care.
Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients.
Educates patients on interpersonal and self-care skills.
Assists patients with activities of daily living.
Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups.
Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly.
Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team.
