This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. Job Description The Behavioral Analyst (Intelligence Analyst 3-5) supports USAFCYBER by providing expert psychological and sociocultural analysis of foreign target audiences to inform cyber, information, and influence operations. This role integrates behavioral science, cultural research, and intelligence analysis to help shape operational planning, enhance messaging effectiveness, and strengthen assessments of adversary reactions in the information environment. The analyst works closely with planners, intelligence teams, and content developers to ensure cyber and influence activities are grounded in validated human behavior principles and aligned with mission objectives. Requirements

  • LEVEL 3 = 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • LEVEL 4 = 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • LEVEL 5 = 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, international studies, intelligence studies, or related field. 4+ years with a Masters, or 10+ years with an HS Diploma.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting behavioral or sociocultural analysis in support of military, intelligence, or government operations.
  • Training or certification in Target Audience Analysis, Military Information Support Operations (MISO), Joint Information Operations, or Intelligence Support to Information Operations
  • Knowledge of influence operations, information operations, or Target Audience Analysis methodologies used in DoD/IC.
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative research into actionable operational recommendations.
  • Strong briefing, writing, and communication skills for senior leadership audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, including intelligence analysts, planners, and operations personnel.
  • Familiarity with research and analysis tools, OSINT platforms, behavioral analysis databases, and geospatial or social network analysis tools such as:
  • Cyber & Fusion Tools: JCWA platform tools, Palantir Gotham, Vantage / ADVANA, HIVE tools
  • Influence / Behavioral Assessment Tools: Babel Street, Dataminr, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, NodeXL, Gephi, ArcGIS, QGIS
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in behavioral science, psychology, cultural anthropology, or related discipline.
  • Training or certification in Target Audience Analysis, Military Information Support Operations (MISO), Joint Information Operations, or Intelligence Support to Information Operations.
  • Prior experience supporting PSYOP, IO, special operations, cyber operations, or AFCYBER/USCYBERCOM organizations.
  • Experience producing analytical products such as TAAWs, cultural assessments, or influence campaign effectiveness reports.
  • Regional expertise relevant to current Department of Defense priority areas.
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments requiring rapid analysis and iterative assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological analysis of target audiences’ behaviors and beliefs within relevant cultural and societal contexts.
  • Conduct research on audience psychology, develop tailored messaging strategies, and assess the effectiveness of influence campaigns.
  • Collaborate with intelligence, planners, and operational teams to enhance understanding of adversary behaviors, provide insights for operational planning, and contribute to refinement of influence tactics.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of target audience psychology, cultural norms, and behavioral patterns to inform influence strategies.
  • Develop audience analysis reports and provide recommendations to tailor messaging for maximum psychological effect.
  • Assess the effectiveness of influence campaigns through analysis of audience reactions and behavioral indicators.
  • Collaborate with planners and content creators to ensure psychological principles are effectively integrated into operational planning and products.
  • Deliver briefings and detailed reports on cultural assessments, audience sensitivities, and psychological profiles of target groups.
  • Produce comprehensive Target Audience Analysis Worksheets (TAAW), narrative development guides, and sensitivity analysis reports evaluating potential impacts of messaging across cultures and populations.
  • Present plan overviews, campaign progress updates, and assessments of operational effectiveness to leadership and stakeholders
