Behavior Treatment Technician - ABA Clinic
About The Position
Genesee Community Services (GCS), a MyPath Company, is seeking a passionate individual to join their early childhood ABA clinic as a Behavior Treatment Technician. This role focuses on providing specialized services and dignified care for children under the age of six, helping them build foundational skills for lifelong impact. ABA therapy is a research-based approach used to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, reduce interfering behaviors, and break down skills into achievable steps, all while celebrating progress. As a Behavior Treatment Technician, you will directly witness how consistent support, structure, and encouragement can foster independence and confidence in children.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to complete required training and maintain certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
- Prior ABA or behavioral experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions using individualized treatment plans developed by clinical supervisors.
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs with consistency and accuracy.
- Support development of communication, social interaction, play skills, and daily living routines.
- Collect real-time data during sessions using designated systems and tools.
- Accurately record behaviors, skill progression, and responses to interventions.
- Identify trends or changes in behavior and communicate observations to the clinical team.
- Partner with supervisors to review client progress and receive coaching/feedback.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers by sharing general session updates and observations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in approach across sessions and environments.
- Follow all treatment protocols as written and maintain fidelity to clinical programming.
- Complete session notes, data entry, and required documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to company policies, confidentiality standards (HIPAA), and safety procedures.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging therapeutic environment for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and professionalism in attendance and performance.
