Behavior Therapist
About The Position
Sunny Days of California is hiring part-time ABA and RBT Therapists to provide in-home services to children on the autism spectrum (up to 29 hours per week). We provide services from 8:00am-8:00pm with prime-time hours Monday through Friday in the late afternoons/evenings. Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS! Create a fun, motivating experience to generate a positive learning environment for every individual. Implement individualized applied behavior analysis (ABA) programming under the direction of a BCBA/supervisor. Use basic principles of ABA such as: reinforcement, prompting, fading, and shaping procedures. Implement strategies to encourage socialization and daily living skills. Effectively respond to and minimize difficult or disruptive behaviors by following the behavior intervention plan created by the BCBA/supervisor. Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilize an online system (Central Reach) to enter, track, and view progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Candidates must be energetic, comfortable playing with children, and have a passion for helping youth achieve their true potential
Nice To Haves
- RBT or 1 year experience in Applied Behavior Analysis field preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT certified), or RBT in process, is a PLUS
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism using ABA methodologies
- Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS
