Behavior Technician BT Work With Kids
About The Position
We are looking for a Behavior Technician (BT) who is passionate about working with children. This role is not just a job, but a calling to make a difference in the lives of children with autism. You will work 1:1 with children ages 18 months to 6 years in a center-based environment, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role involves building skills through play and connection, tracking progress using ABA technology, and creating a safe, positive environment. We provide paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and offer strong clinical mentorship and career pathways.
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliability—showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
- Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment
- Physical readiness for the role: pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience with children is a plus
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services
Responsibilities
- Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans.
- Building skills through play, connection, and the kind of presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try.
- Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology.
- Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with.
- Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days.
