About The Position
Help young children with autism learn to communicate, play, and build independence. No experience needed, we train you and pay for your certification. At FirstSteps for Kids, you'll work one-on-one with young children, building the communication, play, and everyday-life skills that help them succeed at home, in school, and in their community. You'll see the small wins up close: a first word, a first friendship, a child doing something today they couldn't do last week. And the skills you help teach now don't just shape a good day, they change the trajectory of a child's whole future.
Requirements
- Patience and dependability.
- Genuine enjoyment of working with children.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with insurance.
- Comfortable getting on the floor to play and moving quickly when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with children through work, school, or volunteering is a plus.
- Backgrounds in Childcare, Preschool or daycare, Teaching or education, Camp counseling or coaching, Psychology, Special education, or Social work, Nursing or home health care, or other child-focused or helping professions.
Responsibilities
