About The Position

The Behavior Technician provides positive, compassionate, and supportive services to youth and adults with complex behavioral, developmental, and/or mental health needs in an individual or group home setting. Support is provided at a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio, as determined by the individual’s care plan. The position may involve supporting minors or adults and may include leading tasks or activities, but it does not manage people. The role follows individual care plans, documents services and behavioral data, supports daily living and skill development, helps individuals make informed choices, promotes community involvement, and coaches individuals through behavioral escalations or emergencies. The position requires collaboration with teammates, supervisors, individuals served, responsible parties, and care teams, along with adherence to confidentiality and applicable safety and abuse-prevention policies. Onboarding and in-person training are paid at $18.00 per hour, and a stipend is paid for completing required virtual training before providing support. The direct support/in-ratio rate is $23.00 per hour based on the program; the position is eligible for overtime. The role is eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus.
