The Behavior Technician will follow the person's care plan and ensure all applicable documentation related to them is completed timely and accurately. This includes collecting accurate data to drive positive behaviors, providing problem-solving assistance, and building confidence in individuals served by assisting with various life skills such as meal planning, grocery shopping, housekeeping, cooking, organizational skills, financial management, and self-care. The role involves advocating for, supporting, and empowering individuals by providing general skill training and supporting the development of decision-making skills and informed choices in all aspects of daily living. Additionally, the Behavior Technician will support individuals' community involvement by transporting them via company vehicle, coaching them through escalations in behavior or mood, and maintaining positive working relationships with teammates and other stakeholders. Adherence to policies regarding vulnerable adults, HIPAA, and maintaining confidentiality is crucial. Other cross-functional duties may be assigned as necessary.
