The Behavior Technician role involves following a person's care plan, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and collecting data to drive positive behaviors. Responsibilities include assisting individuals with daily living activities such as meal planning, grocery shopping, housekeeping, cooking, organizational skills, financial management, and self-care. The role also focuses on supporting decision-making skills, empowering individuals to be involved in their community, and coaching them through behavioral or emergency situations. Maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, individuals served, and their care teams is essential. Adherence to policies regarding vulnerable adults, child abuse, neglect, HIPAA, and confidentiality is required. The position may also involve other cross-functional duties as necessary.
