Behavior Technician working with kids
About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to work with children aged 18 months to 6 years who have a diagnosis of autism. This role is based in a center-based environment where you will deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The position involves building skills through play and connection, tracking progress, documenting sessions using ABA technology, and creating a safe, positive environment. We provide paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and offer strong clinical mentorship and career pathways. This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to change lives.
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday
- Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Reliability — showing up for scheduled hours and staying on top of administrative tasks
- Resilience and compassion, especially on the tough days
- Ability to obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment
- Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds
- Sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly alongside kids when needed
Nice To Haves
- Interest in psychology, education, healthcare, or human services
- Experience with children is a plus
Responsibilities
- Delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), guided by individualized treatment plans
- Building skills through play, connection, and presence that helps a child feel safe enough to try
- Tracking progress and documenting sessions using ABA technology
- Creating a safe, positive environment for every child you work with
- Preparing for your RBT certification exam within your first 45 days
