This role involves monitoring and assisting students with classroom lessons and activities, supervising the use of materials, and supporting teachers in implementing instructional programs and behavior management strategies. The technician is responsible for ensuring student and staff safety through consistent discipline, creating a calm atmosphere, documenting behaviors, and participating in professional development. Communication with teachers and parents regarding student progress is also a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the technician monitors students in the cafeteria and during recess.
