Behavior Technician Autism Therapist
About The Position
Caravel Autism Health is seeking dedicated, compassionate individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians (BTs). BTs play a crucial part in helping build skills and document progress for children on the autism spectrum using a results-oriented approach based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). The role involves playing and encouraging young learners while incorporating targets from individualized treatment plans and promoting the development of essential skills, contributing to milestones such as facilitating communication and enhancing independence in daily activities. No prior experience in the behavioral health field is required, as Caravel prioritizes both client growth and teammate professional development.
Requirements
- Availability to work full-time between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Centers are open periodically on Saturdays for make-up client sessions.)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, creative approach to problem-solving.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
