About The Position

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join their growing team. This position is based in Massachusetts in the Fall River area and offers part-time, fee-for-service hours. The Behavior Technician will be responsible for implementing clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and providing ABA-based instruction to promote the development of new skills, all under the direction of their supervising BCBA. Key duties include monitoring client behavior, collecting data on client behavior, and reporting this data back to the supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will also work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and the client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Requirements

A high school diploma or a GED and have 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth or families
An associates degree or higher in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families
Must be able to travel to the Fall River MA area
Must be 21 years or older per updated state of MA ABA program requirements
Required availability after school, evening and late evening hours
Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Access to a laptop or CPS, high speed secure internet, and a phone required

Nice To Haves

Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred

Responsibilities

Implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior
