About The Position

Family of Kidz has brought together highly qualified teams of professionals who work diligently to help children with special needs, from birth to adulthood. Our focus is on establishing a strong understanding of each child’s needs and teaching them skills that lead to greater independence and an enhanced quality of life. This role involves working in a school-based setting to support individual student needs, implementing behavior intervention plans, and collecting data to track progress.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
Minimum of High School Diploma required
Must have reliable transportation
Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
Exposure to the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with a Behavior Consultant and or Clinical Supervisor to support individual student needs
Implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting, CPI training and implementation)
Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis and in a professional manner
Goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding students in accordance with State and Federal regulations
