About The Position

AAPSA has immediate openings for part-time registered behavior technicians in our Applied Behavior Analysis program, offering supervision and on-site training. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to enrich the lives of children and families affected by Autism and build meaningful connections with clients. The position involves working directly with a child on the Autism spectrum in a school setting in Cortland, providing services through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a science-based approach designed to improve the lives of individuals on the spectrum. As a registered behavior therapist, your responsibilities include encouraging and supporting independence in communication, social skills, and daily living by implementing treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavioral Analysts. This is a part-time position with hours aligned with a typical school day. It's a valuable learning opportunity for those interested in careers in education, psychology, human services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, and speech/language therapy, with potential for letters of recommendation for academic applications.

Requirements

Must have reliable means of transportation.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification (will be provided to the right candidate if not already held).
