About The Position

The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA services to children and adolescents in home, school, and community settings under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In this role, you will implement individualized treatment plans designed by a BCBA, use evidence-based ABA strategies including DTT, NET, behavior reduction, and skill acquisition, and collect accurate session data (e.g., ABC data, frequency, duration) to monitor progress. You will support skill development in communication, social skills, daily living skills, and emotional regulation, collaborate with caregivers and clinical team members to promote consistency and skill generalization, and maintain ethical, professional, and compassionate care aligned with BACB standards and company policies. Behavior Technicians at Nurture & Nature ABA receive ongoing supervision, mentorship, and training and are supported with balanced caseloads within a 20-mile service radius to promote quality care and clinician sustainability.

Requirements

  • Must hold a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • A background in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related human-services field is preferred.
  • 2 years of direct ABA experience under BCBA supervision, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within a 20-mile radius
  • Ability to pass FBI & DOJ background checks and TB testing
  • COVID-19 vaccination may be required by certain partner schools/organizations

Nice To Haves

  • Current RBT, ABAT, or BCAT certification
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Master’s program in ABA, Psychology, or related field
  • Bilingual (Spanish, ASL, or other language commonly spoken by client families)
  • Familiarity with data collection platforms (CentralReach, Catalyst, Rethink)
  • Experience in school-based or clinic-based ABA settings
  • Knowledge of PRT, NET, DTT, or FCT interventions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Cultural responsiveness when working with diverse families
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Interest in career growth toward RBT or BCBA roles
