About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Behavior Support Specialist to work with adults with developmental disabilities at a program site in Woodstown, New Jersey. Under the oversight of a behavior analyst, the specialist helps develop and implement Individual Support Plans and functional behavior assessments, evaluates behavior-plan outcomes, coordinates care and communication, trains and monitors staff, leads interdisciplinary team processes, and advocates for people served. The role offers tuition assistance, opportunities to gain supervised experience toward BCBA or BCaBA requirements, and exposure to clinical research and Applied Behavior Analysis leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least six months of experience in Human Services or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for people served at the program site, with behavior analyst oversight.
• Collaborate with a behavior analyst to conduct, develop, and implement functional behavior assessments.
• Develop and evaluate behavior plans and confirm their clinical outcomes to ensure plans are functionally sound as needed.
• Coordinate and create agendas for family and funder contact.
• Coordinate health care and behavioral needs.
• Train, mentor, and monitor staff on care delivery.
• Lead the interdisciplinary team (IDT) process and ensure timely documentation.
• Advocate on behalf of people served.
