About The Position

Clarvida is hiring a Behavior Support Specialist to develop and implement positive behavior support plans in collaboration with clients, families, and care teams. The position involves conducting functional assessments and using evidence-based strategies to help participants thrive without the use of restraint procedures. The posting describes the role as field-based, with extensive travel across assigned Pennsylvania regions, including northeast and/or central Pennsylvania. Requirements

• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, ABA, or a similar human services field.
• If the degree is not in one of the listed fields, a master’s degree with 50% or more of ABA coursework.
• At least one year of experience in either a CASSP service system or employment by a licensed mental health services agency or subcontracted agency; alternatively, completed training in conducting and using a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and in positive behavioral support, provided by the Bureau of Autism Services or an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments.
