Join our team as a Behavior Support Educator supporting our Fine and Performing Arts summer camp programs. In this role, you will provide social-emotional and behavioral support for campers and staff, helping ensure all participants can successfully engage in programming. You will assist with behavior management strategies, support conflict resolution, and serve as a resource for Teaching Artists and Program Assistants. Responsibilities include observing camper behavior, offering guidance and interventions, assisting with staff training, and maintaining a safe and positive camp environment. If a camp is identified as needing additional behavioral support, the Behavior Support Educator can expect to spend a majority of their time embedded within that camp setting. Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments, and work location may be changed at any time as required by business necessity.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational, recreational, or related setting required
  • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and positive behavior support techniques
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain flexible, calm, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in counseling, education, psychology, or a related field is highly desirable
