About The Position

Devereux Florida is seeking a passionate Behavior Specialist (RBT) to provide critical intervention to families in crisis, particularly those in the foster care system with children who may have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This hybrid/community-based role, based out of Sarasota, FL, involves direct and indirect behavior analysis and programming services. Responsibilities include developing individualized behavioral programs and master treatment plans, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to review client treatment, goals, progress, and future needs. The position serves Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • RBT Certification Required
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
  • Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of behavior analysis, mental health, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a human services field
  • 3+ year experience working directly with children and families with developmental disabilities and behavior problems

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct and indirect behavior analysis and behavioral programming services to clients.
  • Developing an individualized behavioral program and master treatment plan for all assigned clients.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team to review the client's treatment, goals, progress, and future needs.
