About The Position

Devereux is seeking a passionate Behavior Specialist (RBT) to provide critical intervention to families in crisis, specifically children and families within the foster care system who may have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Based in Sarasota, FL, this hybrid/community-based position involves providing direct and indirect behavior analysis and behavioral programming services to clients in their homes across Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties. Key responsibilities include developing individualized behavioral programs and master treatment plans for assigned clients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to review client treatment, goals, progress, and future needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma Required
  • RBT Certification Required
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test
  • Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of behavior analysis, mental health, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a human services field preferred
  • 3+ year experience working directly with children and families with developmental disabilities and behavior problems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide both direct and indirect behavior analysis and behavioral programming services to clients
  • Develop an individualized behavioral program and master treatment plan for all assigned clients
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to review the client's treatment, goals, progress and future needs
