This position will supervise the Alternate Center for Education (ACE) and Time Out rooms to assist students as they process after an incident which necessitates their use of either the ACE or Time Out Room and to accurately document each such use. Will also assist in managing inappropriate behavior in the educational setting. Acts as a role model for students. This role may involve working on residential and/or inpatient units when school is not in session (i.e., holidays, breaks, summer, etc.), potentially including shifts other than day shifts and weekend shifts. The role also involves projecting a positive image of The Pavilion by being courteous, helpful, friendly, and professional in relationships with patients, visitors, and co-workers, and assuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational confidentiality regulations. Responds to a “Support Code” in a therapeutic, appropriate manner as prescribed in the annual TCI inservice. Maintains CPR and TCI certification, as well as OSHA annual inservice requirement. Provides case management and other clinical services, as necessary.
