Provides a safe space for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for students who are disciplined due to behavioral issues impeding learning or classroom instruction. This role involves supporting intervention by collaborating with student services, staff administration, and parents, helping students refocus and de-escalate, and fostering positive classroom management. The Behavior Interventionist will mentor and tutor students to help them learn to own their behavior and develop plans for classroom success, monitor students in school suspension, and facilitate educational continuity by communicating with teachers for assignments. Additionally, the role includes providing one-on-one counseling on conflict resolution, helping students understand the impact of their actions and how to restore relationships, and building positive relationships within the school community.
