About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral and instructional support to students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in collaboration with teachers, related service providers, and families. The RBT implements behavior intervention plans, supports students in developing academic, social-emotional, communication, and self-regulation skills, and promotes positive participation in the classroom and school community.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Experience providing direct behavioral and instructional support to students.
  • Ability to implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs.
  • Skills in collecting accurate and timely data on student behavior and progress.
  • Ability to maintain daily records and documentation.
  • Proficiency in using evidence-based behavior management strategies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, service providers, families, and administrators.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with students in Kindergarten through Grade 2.
  • Familiarity with IEP goals and general education curriculum access.
  • Experience preparing materials and data summaries for team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct one-on-one and small-group behavioral support to students.
  • Provide direct instruction one-on-one and small-group instruction focused on student’s IEP goals.
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as designed by the BCBA.
  • Support students in developing self-regulation, communication, social, and adaptive skills.
  • Assist students during classroom instruction, transitions, lunch, recess, specials, and other school activities.
  • Use evidence-based behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement.
  • Support students in accessing the general education curriculum and classroom routines.
  • Collect accurate and timely data on student behavior and progress toward goals.
  • Maintain daily records and documentation as required by the BCBA and school team.
  • Report significant behavioral incidents, concerns, or progress to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist with preparing materials and data summaries for team meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, related service providers, and administrators.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with staff and families as directed.
