About The Position

This is a 12-month position for a Behavior Analysis Teacher in the Hawaii District. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified teachers in every classroom. The minimum qualification for a teacher position is a Bachelor's Degree, unless it's a designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) position. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, candidates have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a Program to continue employment. Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements must be demonstrated each year. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure their enrolled program aligns with their teaching line.

Requirements

  • Valid Hawaii teaching license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board
  • Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the State of Hawaii
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum qualification for teacher positions, unless CTE)
  • Upon hire, must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit
