About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after-school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive. We're looking for an Elementary aged professional who: Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment Feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program Takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • At least 3 years of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
  • To meet Colorado licensing requirements, you must be at least 21 years old and meet ONE of the following: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, recreation, child development, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of college and 910+ hours of verified experience working with kids (ages 4+)
  • Or 3 years of verified experience + 6 college credit hours
  • OR 40 hours of training related to school-age care

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
  • Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
  • Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
