Before and After School Lead Teacher

About The Position
The YMCA is hiring an experienced professional to lead before- and after-school childcare activities in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The role involves helping children learn through engaging activities, supporting them with snacks and homework, and assisting the site director with the program’s day-to-day functions. The position is full-time, hourly, and operates on a split Monday–Friday schedule: 6:30 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Pay is $17.00–$19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children.
- High school diploma or some college credits.
- At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare setting.
- Passion for working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances.
Responsibilities
- Find new and engaging ways to help children learn.
- Be patient and kind with parents.
- Assist the site director with the day-to-day functions of the before- or after-school daycare program.
- Help children through activities, snack time, homework, and related activities.
