About The Position

The Beer Farm at Homestead Gardens is seeking a Bar Back / Beer Garden Support Crew member. This role is for someone who enjoys being outdoors and staying busy, as they will be responsible for keeping the beer farm clean, stocked, and ready for guests. The individual will be a behind-the-scenes hero, ensuring beer flows smoothly and the space is well-maintained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and move heavy kegs, cases, and other bar supplies
• Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the bar area
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• A strong work ethic and positive, team-first attitude
• Comfortable being on your feet and lifting up to 50–75 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather
• Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred
• Experience in customer service or hospitality roles is advantageous
• Basic knowledge of beer types and bar equipment is beneficial
• Bar, brewery, restaurant, or outdoor venue experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Keep the beer garden, bar, tables, and walkways clean and guest-ready
• Clean and restock restrooms throughout your shift
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost
• Stock ice, glassware, kegs, and bar supplies
• Jump in to support bartenders during busy times
• Help move tables, equipment, and supplies
• Assist guests with basic questions and keep things running smoothly
• Help with opening, closing, and event setup/breakdown
• Follow safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service rules
