About The Position

The Bar Back position involves receiving liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and replenishing these items at the bar throughout the shift. This role also includes retrieving food items from the kitchen, stocking bar snacks and supplies, assisting with opening and closing duties, bussing tables in the bar area, maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of bar areas, and preparing and serving beverages as needed to assist the bartender. The position is with Levy, a member of Compass Group USA, and is located at The Row @ Barclays Center.

Requirements

• Must be able to receive all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom.
• Must be able to replenish all liquor, beer and wine as needed in the bar.
• Must be able to retrieve all needed food items from kitchen and deliver to bar area.
• Must be able to retrieve all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to bar area.
• Must be able to set up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.
• Must be able to ensure beer taps are working properly.
• Must be able to place appropriate bar snacks on counter and keep supplies stocked.
• Must be able to assist in opening and closing side work.
• Must be able to bus tables in bar area.
• Must be able to help ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas.
• Must be able to wash work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment.
• Must be able to sweep and mop service areas, including floor mats.
• Must be able to ensure rubbish is removed from all receptacles.
• Must be able to prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist bartender.
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receives all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom on a daily basis and as needed.
• Replenishes all liquor, beer and wine as needed in the bar throughout the shift.
• Retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area.
• Retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area.
• Sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf.
• Ensures beer taps are working properly.
• Places appropriate bar snacks on counter; keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift.
• Assists in opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Buses tables in bar area.
• Helps ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas; washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment; sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats.
• Ensures rubbish is removed from all receptacles.
• Prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
