This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises. The Bar Back will stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of work areas, the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools according to set-up guidelines is crucial. The role also requires adherence to all company and safety policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Uniform and personal appearance must be clean and professional, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets. The Bar Back will welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals are essential. Quality expectations and standards must be met. The role requires reading and visually verifying information, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating objects. The Bar Back must be able to move over various surfaces and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
