About The Position

The Beef Shoppe/Seafood Clerk provides excellent guest service through meat and seafood department activities. The role uses selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance guest interaction and achieve maximum sales. Duties include preparing knife-ready products, supporting inventory and product storage, maintaining product quality and freshness, and upholding safety and sanitation standards throughout the department.

Requirements

Good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and an outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others and to sell and interact with guests.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in a cold environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests approaching the department, and create a selling environment using selling skills.
Prepare knife-ready products for sale by cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing them according to Lowes Foods standards.
Assist with receiving, inventory, and storage of products.
Price, stock, and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat and seafood in sales areas.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in areas that come in contact with meat and seafood, including prep areas, coolers, freezers, and the sales floor.
Maintain high product quality and freshness and ensure products are in date.
Communicate shrink issues to management.
Communicate guest requests and concerns to management.
Make PA announcements for meat and seafood department sales and promotional items.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
